As a player, Ted represented Munster at all levels from U13 to the Mens Senior side. He was capped for Ireland at U21, U23, Ireland ‘A’ and Senior Level .
He has been involved in coaching in Ireland for over 10 years at every level from grass roots to the Senior National Mens' side.
He holds a UKCC ECB Level 4 Master Coach in Elite Cricket Coaching with a Post Graduate Diploma in Personal & Professional Development from the University of Gloucester. He is also an ECB Qualified Tutor and Assessor, capable of delivering on UKCC Level 3 Performance Coach Courses
He was worked in Ireland U17 and U19 environments and has recently been the Head Coach of the Leinster Lightning which won the treble two years running.
His Coaching Philosophy is one of player autonomy where the players have ownership of their own games. The development of Independent Thinking Cricketers is a corner stone of his coaching process and he supports the players in developing an in-depth understanding of their own games. The aim is to see players evolve through embracing an ethic of self-challenge and continuous improvement
